If it wasn't for Penny then Diana and I would not have met or at least not become such firm friends. I was working in the local Post office in 2006 when Diana came in and though I had seen her before I didn't actually know her. She was very upset and when I enquired if I could help she told me that she was moving house and could not take her beloved cat Penny with her. Penny was then 16 and Diana was afraid she would be left with the local cats protection league. I offered straight away to rehome Penny and that is how Diana and I became friends. She would come to visit and see Penny . Very sadly Penny passed away aged 19 but that didn't our weekly visits to each other and the phone calls most day. Diana was my matron of honour in 2013 and it was an honour to have her there as part of my wedding. The stories Diana told me of her life growing up were amazing and I will always remember our chats.I saw Diana as a second Mum, a best friend and a wonderful lady. It was an honour to have her as a friend and I will miss her terribly. xxx
